yoBreeder is a gay hookup and cruising app for men looking for action, for tops, breeders, and the men who want them. It is for men who want more than just oral: penetration, intercourse, the full experience. If you are looking for just oral, this won't be your match, and it says so up front, so nobody wastes a night finding out.
It runs in your browser. No app to install, no app store listing, and nothing on your home screen unless you put it there yourself.
One honest note. yoBreeder started on the other coast, in Wilton Manors, Fort Lauderdale and Miami, and it is new in San Diego. New men are joining, it is free, and Browse shows every one of them nearest first, so you never have to wonder who is being hidden from you.
Join free, see who is on near HillcrestSan Diego is a city of mesas and canyons, beaches and bases, laid out along the coast between the Mexican border and Camp Pendleton. It is home port of the Navy's Pacific Fleet, it has Marines at Miramar and up the coast, and it has one of the oldest and most settled gay neighbourhoods in California sitting on a hill right in the middle of it all.
That neighbourhood is Hillcrest. In 2012 the city put up a giant rainbow flag over the intersection of University Avenue and Normal Street, and the same year it renamed a few blocks of Blaine Avenue as Harvey Milk Street, the first street anywhere named for him.
Browse shows every member near you, sorted by distance. Hillcrest first, then the neighbourhoods around it, then the rest of the county.
Tell Cypher out loud what you want and it finds the men whose profiles match, instead of making you set six filters.
Once you have talked, one tap in a private chat sends him exactly where you are, with directions. Only to him, only when you choose.
Hillcrest is the centre of gay San Diego. University Avenue and Fifth Avenue are its main streets, and the flag at Normal Street is where Pride starts every year. Just east, across Park Boulevard, North Park and University Heights carry the same crowd into quieter streets, with more houses, more locals and men who would rather walk home than drive.
Directly south is Balboa Park, the city's big park, with its museums, gardens and canyons. It is where the Pride festival sets up every July, and on any warm evening it is the backyard of everyone who lives in Hillcrest.
A city with this much military in it has a lot of men whose private life is nobody's business, and for good reason. Sailors, Marines, officers and the civilians who work on the bases all live here, many of them in town for a few years before the next set of orders.
yoBreeder is built for that. It runs in your browser, so there is no app icon with a name on it. It never shows an exact pin, so nobody can place you on a base or in a barracks. You decide what goes on your profile, and the only way anyone learns exactly where you are is if you send it to him yourself.
Nobody on yoBreeder is cut off at a city line, and San Diego County is big. These are the places men come from.
University Avenue, Fifth Avenue and the flag at Normal Street. The centre of it all, and an easy walk from almost anywhere in the neighbourhood.
East of Park Boulevard. Bungalows, breweries and men who live a few blocks from Hillcrest without living in it.
High rises, the Gaslamp and the slope up to Hillcrest. Men who work long hours and want something close.
Ocean Beach, Mission Beach and Pacific Beach. Surfers, students, and men who never put a shirt on until October.
Across the bay and out on the point. Navy country, and a lot of men who keep things quiet.
Up the coast to Oceanside, and down through Chula Vista toward the border. Further out, and a drive worth making when the message is right.
San Diego is a border city. The crossing at San Ysidro, about twenty minutes south of downtown on a good day, handles more traffic than any other land border crossing in the Western Hemisphere, and Tijuana sits right on the other side. Plenty of men live on one side and work, study or go out on the other, and plenty of San Diego speaks Spanish as easily as English.
Write your profile in whichever language you like. yoBreeder sorts by distance from wherever you are standing, and it lets the profiles say what each man is after.
Tops, breeders, and the men who want them, from the beaches to the bases. San Diego mixes men who grew up here, men stationed here, students, and men in for a weekend or a convention downtown. yoBreeder does not sort them for you. It shows you all of them by distance and lets the profiles say what each man is after.
An email, your birthday and what you are into. No city to type, it works that out.
Every member near you, nearest first. Not a sample, not a paywalled list. Everyone.
Tell Cypher what you are after and it matches you on it.
Message anyone. When you are ready, send him your location and meet, in Hillcrest or wherever suits you both.
Put a photo up. Men with one get answered far more often than men without, and the app will tell you so rather than leave you guessing. A short profile video counts too.
Say something specific. One message that mentions what he actually wrote does better than "hey" to twenty men. And look at the distance on every card. The man in North Park is ten minutes away. The man in Oceanside means it, and then meets the 5 on a Friday night.
San Diego Pride is in July, not June. The parade starts at the flag in Hillcrest and heads down toward Balboa Park, where the festival runs all weekend, and it brings men in from all over Southern California and across the border. The weather barely changes the rest of the year, so the evenings and weekend nights in Hillcrest and North Park are when most men have their phones out, in January as much as in August.
yoBreeder is open across California: here, Los Angeles a couple of hours up the coast, West Hollywood, Palm Springs out in the desert and San Francisco. Browse works the same everywhere, because it starts from wherever you are standing. If you go back and forth between San Diego and South Florida, land in Fort Lauderdale or Miami and the men there are already on it, because South Florida is where yoBreeder began.
Every hookup app says it is for everyone, which is how you spend a week finding out somebody wanted something different from you. yoBreeder says who it is for on the door. Men who want just oral are told plainly this isn't their app. That loses us signups and saves everybody the week. If you want to know where the name comes from, here is what "breeder" means, and here is how Breeder, Receiver and Both work on the app.
The biggest, and a grid of everyone with no stated purpose, so you find out what a man wants by asking. Free accounts see a capped list.
A live map, and very good at cruising in the moment. It is about where he is; yoBreeder is about what he wants.
General apps with a type attached. The app never says what it is for, so every conversation has to work it out.
One purpose, stated publicly: more than just oral. Everyone visible, free messaging, voice search, nothing to install.
yoBreeder never shows an exact pin. Every member's position is blurred by between half a mile and a mile and a quarter before it leaves our server, so the map puts you in your part of town and never on your doorstep, in your barracks or in your hotel room. The only way anyone sees exactly where you are is if you send it to him yourself, in a private chat.
There is no app on your home screen with a name on it, and you can delete your account yourself from your own profile, without emailing anybody.
Yes. A profile, browsing every member near you and messaging are all free. Premium is optional, costs $7 a month, and adds extras like incognito mode and video calling. It never unlocks people.
yoBreeder started in South Florida and is new in San Diego, and new men are joining. Browse shows every member nearest first, with no capped list and no paywall, so whoever is on near you is the first thing you see.
No. yoBreeder runs in your phone browser at yobreeder.com. There is nothing to install and nothing named on your home screen unless you choose to add it.
There is no app icon with a name on it, because yoBreeder runs in your browser. Every member's position is blurred by between half a mile and a mile and a quarter before it leaves our server, so nobody can place you in a building or on a base. You decide what goes on your profile, exact location is only ever sent by you in a private chat, and Premium adds incognito mode if you want it.
Yes. yoBreeder does not stop at a neighbourhood or a city line. It shows every member near you, nearest first, so North Park, downtown, the beaches, North County and the South Bay are all there as you scroll.
Tops, breeders, and the men who want them. Men looking for more than just oral: penetration, intercourse, the full experience. It says so on the door, so everyone on it is looking for the same thing.
