yoBreeder is a gay hookup and cruising app for men looking for action, for tops, breeders, and the men who want them. It is for men who want more than just oral: penetration, intercourse, the full experience. If you are looking for just oral, this won't be your match, and it says so up front, so nobody wastes a night finding out.
It runs in your browser. No app to install, no app store listing, and nothing on your home screen unless you put it there yourself.
One honest note. yoBreeder started in South Florida, in Wilton Manors, Fort Lauderdale and Miami, and it is new in New York. New men are joining, it is free, and Browse shows every one of them nearest first, so you never have to wonder who is being hidden from you.
Join free, see who is on near you in New YorkThere is no other city where the gay map starts with a street address. In the early hours of June 28, 1969, police raided the Stonewall Inn on Christopher Street in the West Village, and this time the crowd fought back. A year later, on the anniversary, New Yorkers marched from the Village up to Central Park, and that march is where Pride everywhere comes from.
The Stonewall Inn is still a bar. Christopher Park across the street, together with the surrounding blocks, became the Stonewall National Monument in 2016, the first national monument in the country dedicated to LGBTQ history. Every man who has ever used a hookup app without hiding owes something to that corner.
Browse shows every member near you, sorted by distance. In a city where a few blocks can be a different world, that is the only order that makes sense.
Tell Cypher out loud what you want and it finds the men whose profiles match, instead of making you set six filters.
Once you have talked, one tap in a private chat sends him exactly where you are, with directions. Only to him, only when you choose.
New York is Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island, and almost nobody drives to a hookup. That changes what distance means. A man two miles away on the same train line can be at your door in fifteen minutes. A man one mile away who needs two transfers and a bus might as well be in New Jersey.
That is why yoBreeder puts the nearest men first and shows the distance on every card. You see who is actually close before you start a conversation that ends with "wait, you're in Astoria?"
The gay map of New York has moved over the decades, from the Village to Chelsea to Hell's Kitchen and out across the river. These are the parts of it men come from.
Ninth Avenue, between Times Square and the Hudson. Close to the theatres, close to work, and the centre of gay Manhattan nightlife these days.
Just south of it. The gay neighbourhood of the 1990s, still full of men who moved in then and never left.
Christopher Street, Stonewall and the piers. The history is here, and so are a lot of men who go out without going far.
Williamsburg and Bushwick for the younger crowd and the late nights, and the rest of the borough beyond them. Plenty of men in Brooklyn never cross the river on a weekend.
Jackson Heights, home of Queens Pride since 1993, and one of the most mixed neighbourhoods in the country. Astoria and Long Island City are a few stops from Midtown.
Uptown and out of the way. Men who live a long ride from Chelsea and have no interest in making it.
The NYC Pride March is on the last Sunday in June, down Fifth Avenue and into the Village past the Stonewall Inn, and the whole month around it is Pride in one borough or another, with Queens Pride in Jackson Heights and Brooklyn Pride as well. It is the weekend the city fills with men from everywhere else, all of them strangers to each other, and that is when a hookup app earns its keep.
Then summer comes, and a lot of gay New York goes to Fire Island on the weekends. The ferries from Sayville cross to Cherry Grove and the Pines, two communities on a car-free barrier island off Long Island that have been gay summer places since the middle of the last century. yoBreeder goes with you. Get off the ferry, open Browse, and you see the men on the island instead of the men back in the city.
Tops, breeders, and the men who want them, in all five boroughs. New York mixes men who were born here, men who moved here to make it, men in for a week of meetings, and men changing planes at JFK. yoBreeder does not sort them for you. It shows you all of them by distance and lets the profiles say what each man is after.
It is also a city of thin walls, roommates and people who know your business. That is what an app is for.
An email, your birthday and what you are into. No city to type, it works that out.
Every member near you, nearest first. Not a sample, not a paywalled list. Everyone.
Tell Cypher what you are after and it matches you on it.
Message anyone. When you are ready, send him your location and meet, his place, yours, or wherever suits you both.
Put a photo up. Men with one get answered far more often than men without, and the app will tell you so rather than leave you guessing. A short profile video counts too.
Say something specific. One message that mentions what he actually wrote does better than "hey" to twenty men. And look at the distance on every card. In New York, the man two stops away shows up. The man across two boroughs means it and then checks the train times.
Late, because this city starts late. Thursday through Saturday nights most of all, and Sunday afternoons too. Pride weekend at the end of June is the biggest weekend of the year, summer weekends pull a lot of men out to Fire Island, and Halloween brings the Village Halloween Parade up Sixth Avenue. The trains run all night, and so does yoBreeder.
New York and South Florida have always traded men, for the winter, for a long weekend or for good. yoBreeder works the same in both places: Browse starts from wherever you are standing. In New York you see the men near you. Land in Miami or Fort Lauderdale and the men there are already on it, because South Florida is where yoBreeder began. Heading south but stopping in Georgia? Here is yoBreeder in Atlanta.
Every hookup app says it is for everyone, which is how you spend a week finding out somebody wanted something different from you. yoBreeder says who it is for on the door. Men who want just oral are told plainly this isn't their app. That loses us signups and saves everybody the week. If you want to know where the name comes from, here is what "breeder" means, and here is how Breeder, Receiver and Both work on the app.
The biggest, and a grid of everyone with no stated purpose, so you find out what a man wants by asking. Free accounts see a capped list.
A live map, and very good at cruising in the moment. It is about where he is; yoBreeder is about what he wants.
General apps with a type attached. The app never says what it is for, so every conversation has to work it out.
One purpose, stated publicly: more than just oral. Everyone visible, free messaging, voice search, nothing to install. Honest about what it is.
yoBreeder never shows an exact pin. Every member's position is blurred by between half a mile and a mile and a quarter before it leaves our server, so the map puts you in your part of town and never in your building. The only way anyone sees exactly where you are is if you send it to him yourself, in a private chat.
There is no app on your home screen with a name on it, and you can delete your account yourself from your own profile, without emailing anybody.
Yes. A profile, browsing every member near you and messaging are all free. Premium is optional, costs $7 a month, and adds extras like incognito mode and video calling. It never unlocks people.
yoBreeder started in South Florida and is new in New York, and new men are joining. Browse shows every member nearest first, with no capped list and no paywall, so whoever is on near you is the first thing you see.
No. yoBreeder runs in your phone browser at yobreeder.com. There is nothing to install and nothing named on your home screen unless you choose to add it.
Yes. Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island, and across the Hudson too. yoBreeder does not split the city into boroughs or zones; it shows you every member near you, nearest first, wherever you are standing.
