yoBreeder is a gay hookup and cruising app for men looking for action, for tops, breeders, and the men who want them. It is for men who want more than just oral: penetration, intercourse, the full experience. If you are looking for just oral, this won't be your match, and it says so up front, so nobody wastes a night finding out.
It runs in your browser. No app to install, no app store listing, and nothing on your home screen unless you put it there yourself.
One honest note. yoBreeder started in South Florida, in Wilton Manors, Fort Lauderdale and Miami, and it is new in Atlanta. New men are joining, it is free, and Browse shows every one of them nearest first, so you never have to wonder who is being hidden from you.
Join free, see who is on near you in AtlantaGay Atlanta has a centre, and it is Midtown. Since the 1970s the blocks along Peachtree Street and Piedmont Avenue, on the west side of Piedmont Park, have been where gay men in this city lived, went out and organized. The rainbow crosswalks at 10th Street and Piedmont Avenue, made permanent in 2017, mark the spot. A lot of the old bars are gone and the towers have gone up, and the community has spread out across the metro, but Midtown is still the place everybody means when they say the gayborhood.
The history here starts early. In August 1969, about six weeks after Stonewall, Atlanta police raided a screening of Andy Warhol's Lonesome Cowboys at the Ansley Mall Mini-Cinema, a short walk from Piedmont Park, and photographed and questioned the people in the audience. That raid is why the Georgia Gay Liberation Front formed, and in 1971 its members held Atlanta's first Pride march on the sidewalks, stopping at every red light, because the city had refused them a permit.
Browse shows every member near you, sorted by distance. In a metro this spread out, that is the only order that makes sense.
Tell Cypher out loud what you want and it finds the men whose profiles match, instead of making you set six filters.
Once you have talked, one tap in a private chat sends him exactly where you are, with directions. Only to him, only when you choose.
Atlanta Pride used to be in June, in Piedmont Park, like everyone else's. Then the 2008 drought kept big festivals off the park's grass, and after a year or two of moving around, the organizers settled on October, close to National Coming Out Day, when the Georgia heat has finally let go. It has stayed there. The parade starts Downtown, heads up Peachtree Street through Midtown and turns down 10th Street into the park.
Then there is Labor Day weekend. Black gay men in Atlanta were gathering in Piedmont Park over Labor Day long before anyone printed a program, and in 1996 it became Atlanta Black Pride, with parties, panels and a day in the park. It is now one of the biggest Black gay Pride weekends anywhere, and men fly in for it from all over the country.
Both weekends are when a hookup app earns its keep. Midtown is packed, half the faces are new, and yoBreeder lets you find out who is nearby and what he is after before you are standing in the crowd.
Atlanta is one of the biggest metros in the South, and most of it is suburbs. Locals talk about living inside the Perimeter or outside it, meaning the I-285 ring. yoBreeder shows you both.
Piedmont Park, Peachtree and 10th Street. High rises, the old gayborhood and the centre of both Prides.
East of Midtown along the BeltLine. Lofts, renovated houses and men who walk or bike everywhere.
The east side. Older houses, a looser crowd, and men who would rather not go to Midtown on a Saturday.
Its own city, just east of Atlanta, with a long settled gay and lesbian community and a MARTA stop into town.
Buckhead, Sandy Springs and up the Perimeter. Offices, apartments and a lot of men who keep things discreet.
College Park, East Point and the hotels around Hartsfield-Jackson. Men who live here, and men here for one night.
Tops, breeders, and the men who want them, across the whole metro. Atlanta mixes men who grew up here, men who moved here for work, students, and men in town for a weekend or a layover. yoBreeder does not sort them for you. It shows you all of them by distance and lets the profiles say what each man is after.
It is also the South, and plenty of men in the suburbs are not out at work, at church or at home. That is what an app is for.
An email, your birthday and what you are into. No city to type, it works that out.
Every member near you, nearest first. Not a sample, not a paywalled list. Everyone.
Tell Cypher what you are after and it matches you on it.
Message anyone. When you are ready, send him your location and meet, in Midtown or wherever suits you both.
Put a photo up. Men with one get answered far more often than men without, and the app will tell you so rather than leave you guessing. A short profile video counts too.
Say something specific. One message that mentions what he actually wrote does better than "hey" to twenty men. And look at the distance on every card. In Atlanta, the man ten minutes away shows up. The man on the other side of the Perimeter means it and then looks at the traffic on the Connector.
Evenings and late nights, Friday and Saturday most of all, and Sunday afternoons when the weather is good and Piedmont Park fills up. The big weekends of the year are Atlanta Black Pride over Labor Day and Atlanta Pride in October, a few weeks apart, and Halloween right after. Those are the weekends men drive in from the suburbs and fly in from out of state.
More passengers go through Hartsfield-Jackson than through any other airport in the world, and a lot of them end up with a long layover or a night in a hotel. Open yoBreeder and Browse starts from wherever you are, whether that is an airport hotel in College Park or a friend's place in Midtown.
It works the same when you land somewhere else. Fly down to Miami or Fort Lauderdale and the men there are already on it, because South Florida is where yoBreeder began. Heading up the coast instead? Here is yoBreeder in New York.
Every hookup app says it is for everyone, which is how you spend a week finding out somebody wanted something different from you. yoBreeder says who it is for on the door. Men who want just oral are told plainly this isn't their app. That loses us signups and saves everybody the week. If you want to know where the name comes from, here is what "breeder" means, and here is how Breeder, Receiver and Both work on the app.
The biggest, and a grid of everyone with no stated purpose, so you find out what a man wants by asking. Free accounts see a capped list.
A live map, and very good at cruising in the moment. It is about where he is; yoBreeder is about what he wants.
General apps with a type attached. The app never says what it is for, so every conversation has to work it out.
One purpose, stated publicly: more than just oral. Everyone visible, free messaging, voice search, nothing to install. Honest about what it is.
yoBreeder never shows an exact pin. Every member's position is blurred by between half a mile and a mile and a quarter before it leaves our server, so the map puts you in your part of town and never on your doorstep or at your hotel. The only way anyone sees exactly where you are is if you send it to him yourself, in a private chat.
There is no app on your home screen with a name on it, and you can delete your account yourself from your own profile, without emailing anybody.
Yes. A profile, browsing every member near you and messaging are all free. Premium is optional, costs $7 a month, and adds extras like incognito mode and video calling. It never unlocks people.
yoBreeder started in South Florida and is new in Atlanta, and new men are joining. Browse shows every member nearest first, with no capped list and no paywall, so whoever is on near you is the first thing you see.
No. yoBreeder runs in your phone browser at yobreeder.com. There is nothing to install and nothing named on your home screen unless you choose to add it.
All of it, inside the Perimeter and outside it. Midtown, East Atlanta, Decatur, Sandy Springs, the south side and everywhere between. yoBreeder does not stop at a city line or a county line; it shows you every member near you, nearest first.
Yes. Browse always starts from where you are standing, whether that is a hotel by the airport or a friend's couch in Midtown. When you fly home to Miami or Fort Lauderdale, where yoBreeder started, it shows you the men there instead.
Tops, breeders, and the men who want them. Men looking for more than just oral: penetration, intercourse, the full experience. It says so on the door, so everyone on it is looking for the same thing.
