It is a citrus town at heart. The groves along the river are why the town grew, and every winter the Texas Citrus Fiesta and its Parade of Oranges take over the streets. On the river at the west edge of town is the Anzalduas International Bridge to Reynosa, and next to it Anzalduas Park.
