Haulover Beach gay guide: where to go, where to park, what to know

Haulover Beach Park sits between Bal Harbour and Sunny Isles, about 25 minutes north of South Beach and 35 minutes south of Wilton Manors. Its north end is Miami's best known clothing optional beach, and on a sunny weekend it is one of the gayest stretches of sand in South Florida.

Where the clothing optional section is

It is at the north end of the park: a stretch of about 0.4 miles, marked with signs and its own beach entrances. Everything south of it is a regular beach, so swimsuits on until you reach the signs. The crowd is mixed, with lots of gay men alongside long time nudists and couples. There is no separate gay section by rule, but the north end is where most gay men set up.
