Hookup. Cruising. Right now.

Gay hookup and cruising app in Orlando

Now open in Orlando

yoBreeder is a gay hookup and cruising app for men looking for action, for tops, breeders, and the men who want them. It is for men who want more than just oral: penetration, intercourse, the full experience. If you are looking for just oral, this won't be your match, and it says so up front, so nobody wastes a night finding out.

It runs in your browser. No app to install, no app store listing, and nothing on your home screen unless you put it there yourself.

One honest note. yoBreeder started three hours south, in Wilton Manors, Fort Lauderdale and Miami, and it is new in Orlando. New men are joining, it is free, and Browse shows every one of them nearest first, so you never have to wonder who is being hidden from you.

The Orlando the visitors don't see

Most of the world knows Orlando for the theme parks out on the southwest side. The gay life of the city is somewhere else entirely: downtown and the old neighbourhoods around it, a few miles north of the tourist corridor, where men actually live.

At the centre of it is Lake Eola, the park in the middle of downtown with the fountain in the lake and the skyline around it. Thornton Park sits on its east side, with brick streets, old houses and a lot of gay residents. Further north along Orange Avenue are Ivanhoe Village and Mills 50, the newer, livelier parts of the gay map. Winter Park, its own city, is just beyond.

What you get

Everyone, nearest first

Browse shows every member near you, sorted by distance. Downtown first, then the neighbourhoods around it, then the rest of Central Florida.

Say it, don't type it

Tell Cypher out loud what you want and it finds the men whose profiles match, instead of making you set six filters.

Send your location when you're ready

Once you have talked, one tap in a private chat sends him exactly where you are, with directions. Only to him, only when you choose.

Orlando Pride, Lake Eola and Orange Avenue

Orlando's Pride is in October, not June. Come Out With Pride fills Lake Eola Park with its festival, and the official parade comes through downtown on Orange Avenue. It is one of the biggest gay weekends in Florida, and it brings men in from all over the state.

The official parade venue is Anthem Orlando, at 100 N Orange Ave in the middle of downtown, steps from the route. Anthem is a yoBreeder partner, and its Pride Weekend is featured right inside the app, between the profiles. See what Anthem has on for Pride. yoBreeder is a separate app and does not organize Anthem's events.

Pride is also when a hookup app earns its keep. Downtown is packed, everyone is a stranger, and yoBreeder lets you find out who is nearby and what he is after before you are standing in the crowd.

Where the men near Orlando are

Nobody on yoBreeder is cut off at a city line, and Orlando sprawls. These are the places men come from.

Downtown and Lake Eola

Orange Avenue, Church Street and the park. The centre of the gay nightlife and of Pride.

Thornton Park

East of the lake. Brick streets, old houses and men who live a five minute walk from downtown.

Ivanhoe Village and Mills 50

North and northeast of downtown. Younger, busier, and full of men who live and go out on the same few streets.

College Park and Winter Park

Northwest and north. Quieter and more settled, and a short drive into town.

The tourist corridor

International Drive and the parks area to the southwest. Hotels full of men in town for a few days who want to know who is around tonight.

Who yoBreeder is for here

Tops, breeders, and the men who want them. Orlando mixes men who live here, men who work in the parks and hotels, and men in town for a convention or a vacation. yoBreeder does not sort them for you. It shows you all of them by distance and lets the profiles say what each man is after.

It is also a region where a lot of men are not out at work or at home. That is what an app is for.

How it works

1. Join

An email, your birthday and what you are into. No city to type, it works that out.

2. Look

Every member near you, nearest first. Not a sample, not a paywalled list. Everyone.

3. Say it

Tell Cypher what you are after and it matches you on it.

4. Meet

Message anyone. When you are ready, send him your location and meet, downtown or wherever suits you both.

Getting a reply

Put a photo up. Men with one get answered far more often than men without, and the app will tell you so rather than leave you guessing. A short profile video counts too.

Say something specific. One message that mentions what he actually wrote does better than "hey" to twenty men. And look at the distance on every card. Orlando is spread out, and the man ten minutes away is the one who shows up.

When Orlando is busiest

Evenings downtown, and Friday and Saturday nights most of all. Pride weekend in October is the biggest weekend of the year, and the start of June brings Gay Days, when gay visitors from all over the country fill the theme parks and the hotels around them. Early evening on a weeknight is quieter, and quiet has its uses, because you are one of the few faces on the first screen.

Coming from South Florida, or going there

Orlando is about three hours up the Turnpike from Fort Lauderdale and Miami, or a train ride, which makes Pride weekend an easy trip. yoBreeder works the same in both places: Browse starts from wherever you are standing. In Orlando you see the men near you, and if you keep scrolling you reach the men further down the state. Back home, the men around Wilton Drive and in Miami are already there, because that is where yoBreeder began.

Why yoBreeder, when you are already on the other apps

Every hookup app says it is for everyone, which is how you spend a week finding out somebody wanted something different from you. yoBreeder says who it is for on the door. Men who want just oral are told plainly this isn't their app. That loses us signups and saves everybody the week. If you want to know where the name comes from, here is what "breeder" means, and here is how Breeder, Receiver and Both work on the app.

Grindr

The biggest, and a grid of everyone with no stated purpose, so you find out what a man wants by asking. Free accounts see a capped list.

Sniffies

A live map, and very good at cruising in the moment. It is about where he is; yoBreeder is about what he wants.

Scruff, Jack'd and the rest

General apps with a type attached. The app never says what it is for, so every conversation has to work it out.

yoBreeder

One purpose, stated publicly: more than just oral. Everyone visible, free messaging, voice search, nothing to install. Smaller than all of them, and honest about that too.

Staying private in Orlando

yoBreeder never shows an exact pin. Every member's position is blurred by between half a mile and a mile and a quarter before it leaves our server, so the map puts you in your part of town and never on your doorstep or in your hotel room. The only way anyone sees exactly where you are is if you send it to him yourself, in a private chat.

There is no app on your home screen with a name on it, and you can delete your account yourself from your own profile, without emailing anybody.

Questions

Is yoBreeder free in Orlando?

Yes. A profile, browsing every member near you and messaging are all free. Premium is optional, costs $7 a month, and adds extras like incognito mode and video calling. It never unlocks people.

Is yoBreeder active in Orlando yet?

yoBreeder started in South Florida and is new in Orlando, and new men are joining. Browse shows every member nearest first, with no capped list and no paywall, so whoever is on near you is the first thing you see, and if you keep scrolling you reach the men further down the state.

Do I need to download an app?

No. yoBreeder runs in your phone browser at yobreeder.com. There is nothing to install and nothing named on your home screen unless you choose to add it.

Is yoBreeder at Orlando Pride?

yoBreeder features Anthem Orlando, at 100 N Orange Ave in downtown Orlando, the official Orlando Pride parade venue, inside the app during Pride weekend. yoBreeder is a separate app and does not organize Anthem's events.

Does it show men outside downtown Orlando too?

Yes. yoBreeder does not stop at a city line. It shows every member near you, nearest first, so Thornton Park, Mills 50, Winter Park, the tourist corridor and the rest of Central Florida are all there as you scroll.

Can people see where I live?

No. Every member's position is blurred by between half a mile and a mile and a quarter before it leaves our server, so the map shows your area and never your address. You can choose to send your exact location to one man in a private chat. That is the only way anyone sees it.

Who is yoBreeder for?

Tops, breeders, and the men who want them. Men looking for more than just oral: penetration, intercourse, the full experience. It says so on the door, so everyone on it is looking for the same thing.
